About the position

The Technology Service Officer will have proven customer service experience. An integral part of your role will be assisting both staff and students with their technological needs by assisting in running the MLC School Technology Service Desk.

This role relies upon your superior interpersonal and communication skills as well as technical and problem-solving skills to ensure that the internal stakeholders and your team can work together seamlessly to ensure all IT queries and issues are answered and resolved.

Selection Criteria:

You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:

  •  Attending to the IT Service Desk system through tracking tickets, escalating issues and incidents as necessary to resolution
  • Proactively manage equipment for daily use
  • Manage configuration and deployment of laptop/desktop for staff and students
  • Manage the repair and support process for the School’s ICT assets
  • Provide audio and visual support for internal and external school events

Essential Criteria:

·         Have 1-2 years in a similar role providing technical desktop support

·         Holds or is working towards IT industry-based certification

·         Good knowledge of Apple hardware, including MAC computers and iPads

·         Good understanding of AV systems and associated troubleshooting techniques

·         Very good knowledge of systems administration of MS Server 2012, 2016 & 2019, Windows 10, macOS X 10.12+

·         Experience using an ITIL compliant call logging system

·         Understanding of core ITIL Processes in the delivery of IT services
